SSAFA The Armed Forces Charity

Founded in 1885, SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, is the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity. They provide vital support to serving men, women and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families. Since working with SSAFA we’ve created advertising, print, radio, social media assets and fundraising packs for a number of different initiatives, including raising awareness of a new generation of veterans struggling to adjust to civilian life, and a campaign to drive legacy giving. Our Loneliness and Isolation campaign work helped drive a 40% increase in calls to the charity’s Forcesline.

Gifts that give campaign

Tasked with producing an integrated legacy fundraising campaign we developed a strategy to drive enquires. National press and online advertising was used to target different audience segments, while data-driven analysis was used to adapt the digital strategy throughout the campaign, resulting in over 100 legacy pack downloads.

“Our Pledge” design and print

We wrote, designed and delivered SSAFA’s “pledge” document, detailing the brand’s mission to provide support to the Armed Forces, Veterans and their families and how this would be delivered over the next five years.

Veterans report

We designed and produced this landmark report, highlighting the hardships faced by a growing number of working age veterans. The report exposed society’s lack of understanding regarding these challenges and the absence of support for former-serving personnel.

Big Brew Up fundraising campaign

A key fundraising initiative in SSAFA’s calendar, we redesigned the entire suite of literature for the Big Brew Up, supported by a social media campaign. The response was the biggest request for fundraising kits SSAFA had ever had.
